Shepard was born and raised on Mindoir, a small border colony in the Attican Traverse. When she was sixteen, slavers raided Mindoir, slaughtering her family and friends. She was saved by a passing Alliance patrol, and enlisted with the military a few years later.

She was posted on the human colony of Elysium when the first wave of the Skyllian Blitz struck. A massive coalition force of slavers, crime syndicates, and batarian warlords attacked the human colony, determined to wipe it out.

Shepard rallied the civilian inhabitants, leading them in their desperate fight to hold off the invaders. When enemy troops broke through the colony's defenses, she single-handedly held them off and sealed the breach.

After hours of brutal fighting, reinforcements finally arrived and the enemy broke ranks and fled. Because of her actions, Elysium was saved, and she is regarded throughout the Alliance as a true hero.

Feros

Speaks with all the Zhu's Hope colonists, suspects funny business. Is rebuffed when bringing this up to the colony leader.
assists the colony by disarming the geth transmitter in the underground tunnels, turning the water back on, killing the alpha varren, and helping with the power shortage.
Drove to the Exogeni Research Facility to deal with the geth, stopped half-way to meet several Exogeni scientist survivors hiding on the skyway.
shut down the geth jamming at the Exogeni facility, learned about the Thorian under Zhu's Hope.
was forced to kill Jeong after he tried to keep Shepard from doing her job.
fought through the mind-controlled colonists, using gas grenades spared the entire colony from death.
took out the Thorian, spared his thrall, Shiala, and received the Cipher, a valuable collection of Prothean knowledge and understanding that will help her better decipher the meaning of the vision the Prothean beacon gave her.

Noveria

Worked with Gianna Parasini to acquire passage to Peak 13, convincing Lorik Qui'in to speak against Administrator Anoleis.
assisted scientists she initially met in purging the rachni from the station
took down Matriarch Benezia, learning more about the strength of indoctrination.
spoke with the Rachni Queen, decided to spare her and let her go free.

Virmire

Talked Wrex down after he learned of the clones "cured" of the krogan genophage, did not have to kill him.
sent Ashley with the STG forces.
crippled the geth signals and refueling stations, kept the heat off of the STG forces assaulting the front of the cloning facility best she could.
spared Rana Thermopolis
spoke with Sovereign for the first time. Was unimpressed.
forced to choose between going to assist Ashley on the front line, or picking up Kaidan while he was arming the bomb, Shepard chose to go back for Kaidan, ultimately losing Ashley in the fighting.
recovered most of the other STG forces, Captain Kirrahe included.

Ilos

broke out of the Citadel lockdown with the help of Captain Anderson who got to punch Udina in the face
While she was interested in Kaidan, she ultimately turns him away when he shows up in her cabin the night before they hit Ilos.
spoke with Vigil on Ilos, learned about the Conduit, the Reapers plans of invasion, and all that fun stuff.
used the Conduit to travel to the Citadel to fight Saren.
was able to break through the indoctrination to reach Saren, who killed himself when he realized what had become of him.
called on the Alliance fleet to help the Destiny's Ascension, sparing the Council from destruction at the cost of human lives.
fought the Sovereign-integrated Saren husk, defeating it and helping the fleet destroy the Reaper itself by distracting its core programs.
endorsed Anderson for the first human Councilor, to the chagrin of Udina.

Mass Effect 2

Prologue
- Died when the Normandy SR-1 was attacked by Collectors, recovered by Cerberus.
- Resurrected, initially mistrustful of Cerberus due to encounters with them in the past involving Rachni, Thorian creepers, and the death of an Alliance officer.
- Went along with them to Freedom's Progress. After seeing what the Collectors had done there, she agreed to work with Cerberus to stop them.
Assembling a Team
- First went to the Citadel on the new Normandy SR-2. Was reinstated as a Spectre, recruited Kasumi Goto.
- Traveled to Omega. Recruited Zaeed Massani. Spoke with Aria T'Loak concerning Archangel and Mordin Solus. Signed up with the mercs going up against Archangel first.
- discovered Archangel was in fact her old friend Garrus Vakarian, helped him fight his way out of the mess he'd gotten himself into, and then recruited him to her mission.
- Went to locate Mordin Solus next, helped him neutralize the plague in the Omega slums, then secured his help for finding a way to stop the Collectors.
- Traveled to Bekenstein to assist Kasumi in stealing back her dead boyfriend's greybox.
- Hit the prison ship Purgatory to recruit Jack, ended up having to fight her way out when the warden decided he could handle taking Shepard prisoner and selling her. He couldn't handle it.
- Traveled to Korlus to recruit Warlord Okeer, ended up with Okeer's tank-bred krogan experiment. Shepard decided to wake him up, and he called himself Grunt and became a part of her team.
Horizon and Completing the Team
- Fought her way through the Collectors, facing Harbinger for the first time.
- Was able to spare roughly half the colony, Kaidan Alenko included among the people on the colony not harvested.
- Discovered that Cerberus had manipulated the Alliance into thinking they were working with the Collectors from Kaidan. Shepard is understandably pissed off by this and further mistrusts the Illusive Man.
- Traveled to Haestrom to recruit Tali, saving her from the geth-infested world after she was pinned down in a temple collecting data.
- Traveled to Illium, reconnected with Liara T'soni, who gave her information on Samara the justicar and Thane Krios.
- Tracked down Samara first, assisting the justicar by locating what ship a criminal she was tracking had escaped on.
- Caught up with Thane next, taking out a great deal of Nassana Dantius's private security force in trying to find him. Didn't feel too bad about it since Nassana tricked her into killing her sister a few years back.
- Assisted Miranda with a problem involving her sister.
- Received intel about The Shadow Broker which she passed on to Liara, which then spiraled into a whole thing in which Shepard helped Liara take out the Shadow Broker, and eventually culminated in her friend becoming the new Broker.
- Is then sent to an "offline" Collector Ship, which turns out to be a trap fabricated by the Collectors to lure Shepard in, perpetrated by the Illusive Man. This just further proves he can't be trusted, though they do learn valuable intel from the endeavor.
- Shepard continues to build her team, heading to the quarian flotilla to prove Tali isn't a traitor.
- next she heads to the Citadel to help Garrus get some revenge, although she ultimately talks him out of it. She also helps Thane reconcile with his son.
- from there she returns to Omega to help Samara kill her own daughter.
- then it's off to Pragia to help Jack let go of her past. She has to diffuse a situation between Jack and Miranda afterwards, but both women fortunately agree to keep away from each other without much damage.
- Then she visits Tuchanka, catching up with her old friend Urdnot Wrex who is now the clan leader and attempting to unite all the krogan under his banner. She also helps Mordin locate an old student and Grunt find his way into krogan adulthood while there.
- once she receives intel on Project: Overlord she goes to investigate. Ultimately she shuts it the hell down and sends David somewhere where he'll be safe and away from his monster of a brother.
- She then takes the ship out to Aeia, to help Jacob find his father, though the results aren't entirely heartwarming.
- after that it's off to Zorya, to help Zaeed liberate an eezo refinery. Zaeed was after revenge for this mission against his past partner, but Shepard doesn't let him waiver from helping the people who need to be rescued after he sets the place on fire.
Final Preparations and Assault
finally they head to the derelict Reaper to collect the Reaper IFF, collecting a geth ally in the process, named Legion.
While waiting for the Reaper IFF to be installed and tested, Shepard assists Legion in reprogramming some geth.
after the IFF is installed, the Collectors track the Normandy while Shepard is off-ship and take most of the crew hostage. This is the catalyst to push for the Omega 4 relay.
due to smart upgrades made throughout her time on the new Normandy, Shepard loses no crew after they pass through the Relay and crash on the Collector base.
they arrive in the base in time to rescue all crew from being turned into Reaper paste.
Shepard blows the Collector base to hell, and tells the Illusive Man to get on board with the way she does things, or to eff right out of her galaxy.
while doing repairs on the ship, Shepard receives communications from Admiral Hackett about a problem in the Bahak system with a scientist friend of his.
Shepard goes solo into a batarian prison to rescue Dr. Amanda Kenson, and ultimately ends up sacrificing the lives of over 300,000 batarians by destroying the relay in the system, which the Reapers were mere minutes away from arriving at, delaying their invasion by a few months.
she takes some time to get things in order, including with having a private talk with Liara and giving those on her crew who wished to leave time to go, before surrendering herself to the Alliance and turning over the Normandy.

- Shepard is primarily a Paragon, though she has Renegade tendencies in certain situations (mostly people who fuck with her crew, people who kill babies, etc. fuck those guys.)

- I play Shepard as romance-free in all memes and games unless otherwise specified, though I am open to playing canon-established Shepard/Kaidan, or developing romantic chemistry with other characters. Generally speaking, I like playing the friendships Shepard has with her crew more than the romances, but if something develops from that within meme or game, I have always been an organic RPer!
